Description of Opacifying: opacifiers work by changing the appearance of the formulation from clear to opaque. The look of a final Personal Care or Cleaning product is arguably as important as what is in it. Uniform looking products will often look more attractive than emulsions or suspensions. To achieve a more uniform look, a simple solution is to add an opacifier. Oftentimes, opacifiers will also contribute to a richer skin-feel.  

Opacifiers are available in a large range of product types, from polymers and waxes to dyes and pigments. What kind of opacifier is used depends entirely on the final formulation. IngrePol STAC40 is an opacifier used in cleaning products and IngrePol STAC401 in personal care products.
