Degreasing Ingredients or Chemicals
Description of Degreasing agent: a degreasing agent is a cleaning product, used to lift grease, dirt, fats and other oil based chemical substances that are not soluble in water, from the surface of objects such as tools, machines and floors. Traditional degreasers are solvent based and the solvents dissolve the grease or similar substances. For environmental and health reasons you may prefer to reduce or completely avoid solvents, which can be achieved with water-based degreasing agents, containing reduced quantities of solvents. Alternatively, there are solvent-free degreasing agents, generally containing surfactants (products such as Isopropylamine DS, IngreNox M30 or Ssucate DOM70) and/or alkaline chemicals. Degreasing agents are added to many cleaning formulations, in both Home Care and in I&I applications.
